Registered Nurse, PCU Licenses: RN(Compact Accepted) Certifications: BLS-AHA; ACLS-AHA RN ratio 1:4 in pod format Patients are placed based on acuity. The acuity of this intermediate unit is comparable to a ICU unit at smaller facilities Must read and interpret strips 80 MILE RADIUS RULE Skills that will be utilized are NIHSS, Lumbar puncture assistance, arterial lines, central lines, tracheotomy patients, lumbar drains, IV start skills, peripheral lab draws, arterial blood draws, various intravenous drips ie. cardiac, insulin, heparin, and cardiac monitoring.
