Position Overview
A reputable facility in Bristol, TN is seeking an experienced Travel Geriatric RN to provide high‑quality care to an aging patient population on night shift. This role is ideal for a compassionate, detail‑oriented nurse who excels in managing chronic conditions, supporting complex care needs, and maintaining a calm, patient‑centered environment. The facility values strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently during overnight hours.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience (geriatric or related setting preferred)
- Active Tennessee or Compact RN license
- Current BLS
- Current ACLS
- Strong assessment, critical‑thinking, and documentation skills
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to geriatric patients with chronic and acute conditions
- Perform assessments, administer medications, and manage care plans
- Monitor changes in condition and communicate effectively with providers and interdisciplinary teams
- Support ADLs, fall‑prevention measures, and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation and follow facility and regulatory guidelines
- Deliver compassionate, patient‑centered care during 12‑hour night shifts
