MRI Technologist
Location: Charlotte, NC – AH Pineville Main
Facility: Advocate Health Southeast
Contract Dates: March 16 – June 13, 2026
Schedule: 40 Hours/Week | Night Shift
- Monday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Tuesday–Thursday: 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Setting: Acute Care Hospital (373 beds)

AH Pineville Main is a 373-bed acute care hospital (344 acute + 29 inpatient rehab) offering comprehensive imaging services including MRI, CT, Ultrasound, X-ray, Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine.
- ED: 30 beds
- ICU: 46 beds
- PCU: 40 beds
- Observation: 70 beds
- 14 OR Suites
- TJC Stroke Accredited
- No trauma designation
- Free parking available
Traveler Requirement: Must reside 50+ miles from the facility to qualify.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join a high-volume imaging department performing approximately 33 studies per day. This role supports inpatient, ED, observation, and outpatient populations, including patients with medical devices and anesthesia-supported cases.

- Emergency Department
- Inpatient & Observation Units
- Outpatient
- Medical device patients
- Anesthesia-supported MRI cases
- Cardiac MRI (performed Monday–Friday, day shift)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 year of MRI experience
- ARRT(R) or NMTCB
- ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification
- BLS certification
- State licensure not required
Key Responsibilities
- Verify physician orders and clarify discrepancies prior to exams
- Properly identify patients using two identifiers
- Obtain and review complete medical histories via EMR
- Prepare and administer IV contrast per protocol and document in MAR
- Evaluate image quality and consult Radiologist when needed
- Assist anesthesia and medical staff during MRI procedures
- Monitor patient condition and initiate life support measures when necessary
- Maintain strict MRI safety standards for patients and staff
- Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and hospital safety policies
- Enter orders, charge procedures, and complete documentation in EPIC
