Job Opportunity: EEG Tech

Location: Akron, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Registered EEG Tech
• 2 years of experience required
• Schedule includes every other weekend and holidays as needed
• If working a weekend, Friday off will be given

Required Qualifications

• License: Must hold a valid license appropriate for EEG Tech in Ohio
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in EEG Tech specialty
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA Only (Instructor or Provider); RQI acceptable
  • National EEG Tech Certification is NOT required
• Background Checks:

  • Comprehensive background check including FCRA compliant 7-year search
  • Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
  • FBI and BCI fingerprinting within 12 months, updated annually
• Health Requirements:

  • Physical exam within 1 year confirming ability to perform job functions
  • Fit mask test within 12 months (3M N95 1860 small/regular or 1870+)
  • Immunizations: Tdap (every 10 years), MMR (2 vaccines or positive titers), Hepatitis B, Varicella, and seasonal flu vaccine or approved exemption
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 6 months of start
  • 10-panel drug screen, updated annually
• Competencies:

  • Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months and updated annually
• References:

  • 2 professional references within 1 year from a manager, supervisor, or director
• Employment History:

  • Application must include 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years clinical practice in acute care and similar area

Additional Information

• Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried on assignment
• Completion of facility-specific onboarding modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome)
• Fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing; facility will also conduct fingerprinting onsite
• Physical exam does not need annual update if no break in employment at the facility
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31)
• Candidates can start with fingerprinting results pending as long as fingerprinting is completed prior to start
• Badge photo required prior to clearance

• Friday off if working weekend
