Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Breast Ultrasound Technologist with dedicated breast imaging experience to join our Breast Center team. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong technical expertise in breast ultrasound procedures, image optimization, and interventional support in a clinical setting.

Required Experience & Technical Skills:

Breast Ultrasound Expertise

• Proficient in performing routine and complex breast ultrasound examinations.
• Experience with various transducer types and frequencies.
• Skilled in scanning dense breast tissue, implants, masses, and other patient presentations.
• Competent in Doppler techniques to assess vascularity.

Image Acquisition & Optimization

• Ability to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Skilled in adjusting gain, depth, focus, and time-gain compensation (TGC).
• Strong understanding of ultrasound artifacts and techniques to minimize them.

Breast Anatomy & Pathology

• In-depth knowledge of normal breast anatomy, anatomical variations, and breast pathologies.
• Ability to identify suspicious findings and support radiologist interpretation.

Equipment Operation

• Proficient in operating and maintaining ultrasound equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting minor technical issues.

PACS & Documentation

• Familiar with PACS for image storage, retrieval, and transmission.
• Accurate documentation and workflow management.

Breast Interventional Procedures

• Experience assisting physicians with ultrasound-guided breast biopsies, aspirations, and other procedures.
• Maintains sterile technique and provides appropriate patient care during interventions.

Quality Assurance

• Participates in quality control programs to ensure optimal imaging standards and equipment performance.

Qualifications:

• ARDMS (RVT or Breast specialty preferred) or equivalent certification.
• Prior dedicated breast imaging experience required.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
