POSITION SUMMARY

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) is responsible for providing comprehensive perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The RN will function primarily in the circulating role and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and effective patient care throughout the operative process.

This position requires flexibility to work 10-hour day/evening shifts and participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the circulating nurse during surgical procedures.
• Perform preoperative assessments and verify patient readiness for surgery.
• Maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment.
• Monitor patients intraoperatively and respond to changes in condition.
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other team members.
• Ensure proper documentation of perioperative care in the EPIC EMR system.
• Participate in on-call coverage as required.
• Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and regulatory standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Active State RN license (or ability to obtain upon acceptance).
• Minimum of two (2) years of recent Operating Room experience.
