Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – First Assist for a 13-week travel assignment in Pittsfield, MA. The nurse will function as a surgical first assist in the Operating Room, supporting surgeons intraoperatively in an 8-bed unit. This role requires strong perioperative expertise, independent clinical judgment, and the ability to work 8-hour day shifts (Monday–Friday) with rotational call coverage.

Required Experience:
Minimum 2 years of current First Assist Operating Room experience.
Recent perioperative/surgical first assist experience.
Experience functioning in an acute care OR setting.
Ability to take rotational on-call assignments.
Experience working 8-hour shifts. (shift accommodations not accepted)
Meditech Expanse EMR experience. (Preferred)

Required Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Required.

Required Certifications:
BLS (American Heart Association)
CNOR (Certified Perioperative Nurse)

Required Licenses:
Active Massachusetts RN License. (must be in hand at time of submission)
Facility will not pend license.

Additional Requirements: - Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility. - Permanent address must be included in profile. - Must have own vehicle. - Maximum 5 days RTO (must be declared at submission; no post-offer requests) - 2 Supervisory signed reference.
