Contract Dates: 03/16/2026 – 06/15/2026
Shift: Days – 07:30 AM to 07:00 PM | 3x12-Hour Shifts

Job Description:
• Department/Unit: Surgery – CVOR
• Service Line: Long Term – Allied
• Positions Available: 2
• Experience Required: CVOR experience required
Certifications & Licensure Required:
• BLS
• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology
• Current Washington State Surgical Technologist License
• National Certification (Association of Surgical Technologists)
Position Summary:
Functions as a vital member of the operating room team, assuming responsibility for the scrub role during surgical procedures. Maintains a safe surgical environment by adhering to AORN standards and Confluence Health policies and procedures.
Essential Functions:
• Scrub for a variety of surgical procedures, primarily CVOR
• Demonstrate proficiency with surgical instruments, equipment, sutures, and stapling devices
• Set up and maintain a sterile field
• Ensure correct and safe use of surgical equipment
• Prepare cases according to surgeon preference cards
• Perform accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts
• Properly handle, label, and manage surgical specimens
• Identify and report faulty equipment or unsafe conditions
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations
• Follow procedures for cleaning, returning, and disposing of equipment
