Department: OR | RN -Unit: Surgical Services Boise Hospital - OR RN Grnd Flr - # of Suites: 17 - Average # of cases per day: 65 - Required Certifications: BLS - Common Cases: Pediatric (all specialities and trauma) and adults. General, DaVinci, Neuro-spines and cranis, Peds- scoliosis; Ortho-total joints, ortho trauma, some sports medicine, spica casts for peds, Urology-complicated cases, Davinci, kidney and prostate cases, cystos; Oncology (have an Oncology center attached to hospital); ENT, GYN-all cases including c-sections for accreta- L&D will do simple sections; Bariatrics- robotic or lap roux en y, sleeves, gastric bypass. - Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must have a minimum of 2 years experience, prefer at least 1-2 travel assignments. Would like someone with broad experience in all cases. Please list what their top 2 strengths/areas are. - Is scrubbing required for RNs: No - Is there a manager/Charge Nurse on each shift: Charge on 24/7. - OR techs: Yes - EMR: EPIC - Shifts & Scheduling: 12 hours 9a-9p- rarely would work an overnight shift, may be asked to work overnights if night call team is on vacation or calls out sick. We schedule to the needs of the department – no block scheduling. - Weeknight/Call Requirements: Yes – typically 4 hours following a scheduled shift. May have to cover a night call shift can be up to 12 hours of call, volunteers first- then 1-2 times per contract depending on vacation requests. - Weekend/Call Requirements: Yes – 12 hour in-house day shift. Volunteers first then once per month. - Holiday/Call Requirements: Yes – 12 hour in-house day shift. Volunteers first then once per month. - What is call response time: 30 minutes. - Floating Requirements: Rarely float but would only to be to nearby surgery centers or possibly to Meridian or Nampa in OR. If experienced with CVOR (robotic thoracic) may float here if there is a need. - Scrub Color/Dress Code: Scrubs are provided by the hospital - grey. - How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: Generally 1 week to include general and unit orientation. **This facility has a radius rule of 50 miles. To ensure adherence to this rule, we will require the candidates' perm address in the submittal to confirm they are outside of that specified radius before proceeding with the profile review.** Date Entered On: 2/21/2024
