L&D RN Parking: Minimum $1.25/hour Education: BSN Required Unit Size: 14 beds 5 Triage/Inpatient 6 Labor beds 2 OR beds Certifications: ACLS NRP AWHONN RN-C (Preferred) EMR: Meditech & GE (charting in two systems) Staffing & Ratios Charge nurse (usually no patient assignment) Unit leader 3 days/week Nurse aides & scrub techs utilized IV Team: No RT 24/7: Yes Pharmacy 24/7: Yes Hospitalist/Intensivist in-house 3 nights/week Schedule Weekend Requirement: Days: Every 3rd weekend (3 weekends in 4 weeks) Nights: Friday & Saturday Holidays: Travelers do not work holidays Scrubs: Provided by hospital Orientation: 2–3 shifts Floating May task in OB or Nursery (no patient assignment) Patient Population / Skills C-sections performed on unit (must scrub) High-risk OB required (strong, fast-paced nurse) Magnesium patients on L&D Low-risk antepartum on OB side Nurses perform own exams & full assessments Cannot place IUPC Additional Notes Very customer-service oriented environment Ask about skill set, assignment experience, and patient load comfort
