Description
Behavioral Psych RN
Location: Nashua, New Hampshire
Contract: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Summary:
Provides nursing care on the Geropsychiatric Unit including patient assessments, medication administration, therapeutic group participation, 1:1 patient care, treatment planning, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
• Mental & physical patient assessments
• Medication and treatment administration per physician orders
• Therapeutic milieu participation (groups, education, 1:1 sessions)
• Individualized treatment planning and updates
• Discharge planning and admission history collection
• Timely documentation (admissions, assessments, progress notes, discharge paperwork, CQI data)
• Collaboration with physicians, care teams, and outside agencies
Requirements:
• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma (Required)
• BSN (Preferred)
• Active NH RN License
• BLS Certification
• 1+ year nursing experience preferred
• Medical terminology knowledge
• Strong communication, analytical, and clinical skills
