Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our PCU/MST team at Client facility. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a progressive care and medical-surgical telemetry environment, focusing on monitoring, assessment, and intervention for patients with complex medical needs. This role requires strong clinical skills, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assesses and monitors patients' conditions, including vital signs, telemetry readings, and response to treatments in the PCU/MST unit.
2. Administers medications, IV therapies, and other treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.
3. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
4. Provides patient and family education on conditions, treatments, and discharge planning.
5. Responds to emergencies, initiates life-saving measures, and documents all interventions accurately.
6. Maintains compliance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and infection control standards.
7. Participates in quality improvement initiatives, staff meetings, and continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Certification Requirements

• Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse).
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
• Current ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent MST/PCU RN experience required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods (up to 12 hours per shift).
• Ability to lift and transfer patients or equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Dexterity to perform tasks such as administering injections, operating medical equipment, and assisting with patient mobility.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach to provide care at various levels.
• Visual and auditory acuity to monitor patients, read charts, and respond to alarms.
• Potential exposure to infectious materials, hazardous substances, and stressful environments.
