Description
- Deliver safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provide direct patient care within the RN scope of practice in Telemetry and the Emergency Department.
- Monitor patient condition and respond quickly and accurately to changes or treatment responses.
- Communicate effectively with physicians regarding patient status, diagnostic results, and symptom changes.
- Direct and support patient and family education.
- Guide and supervise activities of nursing personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.
- Ensure compliance with EMTALA regulations and mandatory reporting of child and adult abuse.
- Maintain patient privacy, confidentiality, and professional ethics at all times.
Education, Experience & Training Requirements
- Current and valid State RN License.
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS and/or ENPC certification
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation
- Minimum 1 year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital setting (Emergency Department experience preferred).
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
