Description
Facility Name: Altru
Title: Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Location: Grand Forks, ND
Position Type: 12 Weeks (36 Hours Guaranteed)
Shift: Night Shift – 3x12s (NOC)
Start Date: 03/16/2026
Weekly Pay Package:
W2 Wage (RT+OT based on expected hrs): $1,458.00
Nontaxable Weekly PerDiem: $1,246.00
Total Weekly Gross Pay Package: $2,704.00
Job Description:
• License: Active North Dakota RN license or Compact license required (Temporary RN license accepted prior to start)
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required (AHA); ECCO preferred
• Experience: Minimum 2 years recent PCU/Stepdown experience required; recent travel experience required (prefer 3 completed assignments)
• EMR: EPIC experience required
• Provides direct nursing care in a Level II Trauma Center Progressive Care/Stepdown Unit
• Performs comprehensive patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care
• Monitors for early signs of patient deterioration and initiates appropriate interventions
• Assists with emergency measures and escalates changes in patient condition per protocol
• Coordinates interdisciplinary care and facilitates safe discharge planning
• Administers medications, monitors pain management, and documents in accordance with policy
• Completes incident reports and ensures timely documentation
