Description
Job Summary
The Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide comprehensive respiratory care services in a Neuro Diagnostics and acute care environment. This role involves assessing, treating, and monitoring patients with cardiopulmonary conditions while utilizing advanced respiratory equipment and collaborating with multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Perform respiratory assessments and deliver appropriate therapeutic interventions.
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and ventilator management.
- Operate and manage advanced respiratory equipment and ventilators.
- Monitor patient response and document care accurately.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide critical respiratory support.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- MI Respiratory Therapy License (must be in hand)
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
- Ability to start immediately and commit to first two weeks of assignment
Preferred Certifications (AHA)
- BCLS (BLS)
- ACLS
- PALS
- NRP
Special Equipment Experience (Required)
Candidates must have hands-on experience with:
- Aerogen
- V60
- PB 980
- Hamilton T1
Vaccination Requirement
- Flu vaccine required
- Medical or religious exemptions accepted (must be submitted within 48 hours of signing)
