Job Description: Medical Sonographer (Breast Imaging Focus)

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Sonographer to join our outpatient medical imaging team. This role will primarily focus on breast imaging and includes assisting with breast biopsies in collaboration with radiologists and clinical staff. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering high‑quality diagnostic images and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, with emphasis on breast imaging.
• Assist radiologists during breast biopsy procedures, ensuring accuracy and patient comfort.
• Provide clear explanations of imaging procedures to patients and address questions with empathy and professionalism.
• Ensure patient safety, privacy, and comfort throughout the imaging process.
• Accurately document findings, maintain imaging records, and follow clinical protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists, technologists, and clinical staff to support seamless patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 12‑month program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or General Ultrasound.
• RDMS certification through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), or registry‑eligible with certification obtained within one year of hire.
• Strong technical proficiency in ultrasound imaging techniques.
• Excellent communication skills and a patient‑first mindset.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a clinical environment.
