Description

Job Summary

The Clinical Assistant / Medical Assistant supports physicians and clinical staff in the examination and treatment of patients. This role assists with direct patient care activities, performs select clinical and clerical duties, and ensures a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment. The Clinical Assistant plays a key role in maintaining workflow efficiency and delivering high-quality patient care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations and treatments
  • Perform select clinical duties as directed by physician or RN
  • Interview patients and record medical information in patient charts
  • Measure and document vital signs
  • Prepare treatment and examination rooms
  • Maintain patient records, filing, and documentation
  • Answer phones and perform basic clerical duties
  • Order, stock, and manage clinical supplies
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Follow Standard Precautions and use PPE as required

Required Experience / Education

  • High School Diploma or GED
    OR
  • 1 year of applicable job-specific clinical experience

Required Certification

  • BLS Provider Certification (AHA or equivalent)
