Description

Perm - Technologist - X-Ray (Days) West Des Moines, IA

Hourly Rate: $26.34 - $39.52
$5,000 Sign-on Bonus
No Relocation

Shift Notes:

Full-time, Monday – Wednesday 7:45AM – 8:00PM + weekend rotation

Weekend Requirements: Rotation

On Call Requirements: No

Clinical Imaging

Perform diagnostic x-ray exams as ordered by providers using proper exposure techniques (MA, KV, time, and distance).
Explain imaging procedures clearly to patients and families to ensure comfort and understanding.
Apply radiation protection practices in accordance with regulatory and safety standards.
Maintain sterile technique and prevent cross-contamination.
Conduct regular quality control checks on radiologic and darkroom equipment to ensure optimal image quality.

Qualifications

Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology. [REQUIRED]
Successfully pass ARRT certification within twelve (12) months of employment.
Current Iowa permit to practice radiologic technology. [REQUIRED]
BLS certification (Basic Life Support). [REQUIRED]
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Solid understanding of radiologic procedures, patient safety, and clinical protocols.
Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) and imaging systems.
