Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)is the shift for this role. The Job Description:POSITION: RN – General Medicine PCU Vent Experience Required SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING ================================== • Shift hours: 3x12s nights 645p-715a • Charting: EPIC experience required • Weekend Requirement: May be EOW or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block • RTO: ALL requests must be included with the submission. • Call off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2-weeks. • Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday per 13-week contract. • Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes. • Locals Accepted? Radius Rule: Yes locals accepted. Refer to Submittal Instructions for radius rule criteria. • Pending License Accepted: Yes only if the candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state. Otherwise submission must include an active Virginia State or Compact RN/LPN license. REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS =========================== • ACLS BLS NIHSS REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS ============================ • Cardiac monitoring emergency response and dysrhythmia interpretation/management • IV therapy phlebotomy blood product administration and central/peripheral line care • Medication administration including cardiac drips no titration • Respiratory support: nasal cannula oxygen administration non-invasive airway management Ventilator experience • Ventilator care for chronic trach and vent patients • Rapid Response and Code team activation • Isolation precautions and telemetry settings across PCU DOU IMC and stepdown units UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING ============================= • Ratios: Typically 1:5. • General PCU unit. Hybrid unit consisting of 10 PCU beds and 2 ICU beds. Vent/trach dependent patients •Common diagnosis: DKA COPD Sepsis Suicide/Overdose Chronic respiratory failure renal failure • 2 beds for chronic trach patients • Remote telemetry monitors remain on unit tele sitting implemented to increase Patient Care Tech coverage • Floating: Will be required to float within skillset HOSPITAL HIGHLIGHTS ======================= Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital is a large acute care facility in Roanoke Virginia with over 700 licensed beds.
