General Information

·         Number of Beds -  33

·         Number of Staff –  55

·         Type of staff:

o    Day Shift – (1 charge, Unit Secretary, 7-8 RN, 2-3 PCT)

o    Night Shift – (1 charge, Unit Secretary, 7-8 RN, 2 PCT)

·         Patient Ratios – 5 to 6:1

·         Type of equipment – EKG, Code cart, Welch Allyn vital machines, Vascular Doppler, wound vacs, Cultura Link interpreting services, Carescape monitors for rhythm monitoring at bedside when administering push meds such as metoprolol

·         EMR – Meditech

Must have:  candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

·          BLS & ACLS

·          Pass our Basic Rhythm test

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):  

·          Small I & D’s

·          Peritoneal Dialysis

·          Thoracentesis (not very often)
