Position Summary:

The Cardiac Sonographer II performs moderate-complexity echocardiographic exams independently and is expected to recognize abnormal findings and exercise sound clinical judgment in an outpatient setting.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Graduate of an accredited School of Sonography or equivalent experience
2. ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac sonography (required)
3. BLS certification (required)
4. Minimum of 5 years of cardiac ultrasound experience
5. Experience performing transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms
6. Comfortable starting IVs and administering Definity contrast
7. Familiarity with Philips EPIQ ultrasound systems and Epic EMR preferred

Traveler Expectations:

1. Work schedule: 5 days per week, approximately 6:30 AM–5:00 PM, outpatient site will vary between our Scarborough, Kennebunk and Biddeford locations
2. Expected daily volume: up to 7 full echocardiograms and 1 limited echocardiogram per day, including completion of prereads on all studies
3. Ability to work independently with minimal onboarding
4. Adherence to established protocols, documentation standards, and quality expectations
