Description
OB / L&D RN – Small Unit Coverage
Unit Overview
- OB nurse needed; approximately 15–17 births per month
- RN will cover:
- Labor & Delivery
- Mother–Baby
- Newborn Nursery
- Couplet Care
- Gynecology surgery patients
- May float to Med/Surg if no OB patients
- If not comfortable taking Med/Surg patients, RN will assist with vitals, meds, and support tasks
Required Certifications
- BLS
- NRP
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (required for L&D and OB units)
