Description

This position is for RN Clinic (Neuro Spine - Surgery)

Patient Types / Common Diagnoses:
-Pre-operative and post-operative Neuro Spine surgery patients
-Neurosurgery cases (No stroke patients)

Required License & Certifications:
-Active RN License
-BLS (Basic Life Support) required
-ADN accepted if highly qualified
-BSN preferred

Required Skills & Experience:
-Strong in-basket management experience
-Excellent communication skills
-Ability to work independently and under pressure
-Clinic preparation and workflow coordination
-Care coordination from outpatient → inpatient → outpatient follow-up
-Placing orders and referrals
-Nurse triage (including e-messaging)
-Patient education
-Medication reconciliation (Med Rec)
-Verify and coordinate surgery clearance with other specialties (Cardiology, Nephrology, Pulmonology, etc.)
-Experience coordinating with multiple clinics for surgical clearance
-Must have EPIC EMR experience
