Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room
Location: Summit, NJ
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 8:00 AM | 3x12s | 36 hours/week
Unit: OR Support Staff

Compensation

• Estimated Weekly Gross: $2,807
• Weekly Stipend: $1,533
• W2 Hourly Rate: $35.40/hr

Key Responsibilities

Patient Assessment & Clinical Care

• Perform comprehensive assessments for pediatric through geriatric patients.
• Provide direct patient care in the OR, including scrubbing and circulating.
• Demonstrate competency in emergency procedures and equipment.
• Deliver pre-operative and post-operative assessments and patient education.

Perioperative Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures, conditions, and OR equipment.
• Individualize care based on procedure and anesthesia type.
• Evaluate and support Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) when applicable.
• Prioritize care based on patient acuity and condition changes.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain complete and accurate documentation per hospital policy.
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals and Universal Protocol.
• Use two patient identifiers and safe patient handling techniques.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality standards.

Requirements

• Active RN License (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)
• CNOR (Preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ASN or BSN preferred)
