Under the administrative direction of the Chief Therapist, and the clinical direction of the Radiation Oncologist, will assist in the treatment and care of Kingsbury Center for Cancer Care patients.
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY!
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
- Administers prescribed radiation treatment, setting the necessary factors, and monitors both patient and control panel during the treatment. Prepares patients in exam rooms and assists the Radiation Oncologist with medical examinations.
- Prepares patients, rooms, and equipment for treatment and simulations and assists the Radiation Oncologist with simulations.
- May inject dye into skin of patient as a marker, providing there has been demonstration of appropriate training and skills to the satisfaction of the Oncologist.
- May administer contrast media retrograde into the urinary bladder in patient during simulation.
- Performs all necessary calibration on equipment as prescribed by the Radiation Safety Officer in accordance with the conditions of therapy license, or any other regulatory body.
- Observes radiation safety measures for patients and personnel.
- Records all patient doses and gathers all confidential history on patients, documents all reactions that the patient may have, and reports these findings to the radiologist.
- Updates patient examination history file, records unusual conditions/limitations, accurately documents appropriate information in daily log book, completes procedure, performs scheduling, consultation and billing procedures as required, performs other paperwork as applicable.

- 2+ years current Radiation Therapy experience - [Required]

- VARIAN TRUEBEAM experience - [REQUIRED]
- ARIA (Treatment Record and Management) EXPERIENCE - [REQUIRED]
- Previous travel experience - [Strongly Preferred]
- Traveler perm address must be included in profile
- Traveler must have their own vehicle for this need
- Any/All RTO must be included in profile. ALL SCHEDULING REQUESTS MUST BE MADE AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION. Facility will NOT approve scheduling requests at/after time of offer. Please obtain this information prior to submittal. Requests after offer may lead to rescinded offer
