CVPICU RN

Shift: will work 3x12s, 7P-730A
Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2, based on acuity
Weekend REQ: 4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule , holiday rotation
Is on call REQ: N/A
Will this traveler float within the scope to meet facility needs? yes

Years of experience REQ: 2 years Peds Cardiac ICU experience
Experience REQ: CV and Pediatric experience
Experience Highly preferred: VAD experience
First-timers accepted: yes
License REQ: SC or Multi State/Compact RN license
Certs REQ: PALS, BLS (MUSC only accepts American Heart Association (AHA))
Certs Preferred: ACLS (MUSC only accepts American Heart Association (AHA))

Open to accommodating block schedule? -per manager?s discretion
Local Radius: 60 miles
Locals accepted: Yes, rate is $9 less
RTO Restrictions: ALL RTO must be provided at time of submission. Approval based off unit needs
Guaranteed Hours: traveler may be cancelled one shift/2 weeks

Pediatric Cardiology Intensive Care unit is a 29 bed Beacon Award-Winning unit and is the referral center for all major pediatric cardiac surgery in South Carolina. Average Daily Census on the unit is 26 with a blend of cardiac surgical and medical diagnoses. The PCICU cares for patients with congenital heart disease of any age based on care needs. Common procedures associated with this unit's care include cardiac surgery, Ventricular Assist Devices, Heart Transplant, cardiac catheterization, and all medical diagnoses associated with cardiac care for the children in South Carolina. In addition to ventilatory and cardiac support, the unit provides ECMO/CRRT and additional complex supportive therapies . Pediatric palliative care is available as needed The staffing mix includes Registered Nurses, Patient Care Technicians, and Unit Secretaries with ancillary supportive services such as Respiratory Therapy, Pediatric Dietitians, and Pediatric Pharmacist available as needed. All PCICU beds are monitored beds.
