Location: Great Barrington, MA

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Night Shift (19:00 – 07:30) | 36 Hours Guaranteed

Job Summary

A Hospital in Great Barrington, MA, a federally designated Critical Access Hospital and part of the Berkshire Health System, is seeking a high-caliber Labor & Delivery RN. This facility is ranked in the top 10% nationwide for patient satisfaction and offers a serene, "Family Birthplace" environment. As a community hospital, you will provide full-spectrum care including labor, specialized operating room support for Cesarean births, and postpartum/mother-baby guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Labor & Delivery Support: Manage active labor patients in a private-room setting, utilizing subdued lighting and advanced monitoring equipment.
• Circulating for C-Sections: Support specialized surgical suites for Cesarean births with 24-hour anesthesia access.
• Mother-Baby Care: Provide individualized postpartum care and guidance, collaborating closely with lactation consultants and midwives.
• Neonatal Stabilization: Ensure infant safety using the STABLE (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, BP, Lab, Emotional) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) protocols.
• Fetal Monitoring: Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate patterns to assess well-being during the birthing process.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Required.
• Experience: * Minimum of 2 years current L&D experience.
  • Current Postpartum / Mother-Baby (PP/MB) experience is required.
• Licensure: Active Massachusetts RN License (Must be uploaded with profile).
• Certifications: * BLS (AHA)
  • NRP
  • STABLE
• Traveler Rule: Permanent address must be over 50 miles from the facility.

• Interview Availability: You MUST provide at least two specific dates and times for an interview in the profile. "Anytime" is not accepted.
• Time Off (RTO): Maximum of 3 days of RTO will be considered. All requests must be made at upload; post-offer requests will not be approved.
• Transportation: Traveler must have their own reliable vehicle.

Assignment Details & Expectations

• Schedule: 12-hour nights. Weekend rotation (every other) and holiday coverage required.
• On-Call: Yes, details TBD by the department.
• EMR: Meditech
• Facility Environment: A 24-bed non-teaching, Joint Commission accredited facility known for high-touch, patient-centered care.
