Description

• Manager / Director - Occupational therapy

Key Responsibilities
• Independently manage multiple rehabilitation programs across hospital departments.
• Supervise professional staff within physical, speech, and occupational therapy services.
• Develop and implement strategic plans, allocate resources, and adapt programs to evolving policies and guidelines.
• Oversee planning, coordination, staffing, and administration of the Rehabilitation Services Department and Wildflower Court Rehabilitation Department.
• Ensure the delivery of exemplary therapy services, maintain effective communication, and promote a hospital-wide culture of safety.
• Develop departmental objectives, manage budgets, establish policies, and coordinate staff training and coverage.
Required Qualifications
• Current State of Alaska Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy license in good standing.
• Minimum of five years of clinical experience as a practicing Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Therapist.
• At least one year of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
• Valid driver’s license, current auto liability insurance, and reliable transportation (if providing patient care outside of the facility).
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience in hospital-based rehabilitation program management.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills in healthcare environments.
• Ability to develop and oversee departmental budgets and policies.
• Experience promoting a safety-oriented workplace culture.
