Description

Unit Details

42-bed NICU
1:2 or 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio
Administers vasopressors, sedation, and glucose
Patient population: Premature infants, respiratory distress/failure, hypoglycemia, and other high-risk neonates
May float to General Pediatrics and PICU
On-Call: None
Weekend: Every 3rd or 4th weekend, including holiday rotation

Requirements

24 months of NICU experience (Required)
Active Iowa RN License (Compact accepted)
BLS (AHA/ARC) – Required
NRP – Required
Experience with vasopressors, sedation, and glucose management
