Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist for a 14‑week day‑shift contract beginning March 9, 2026. The Radiation Therapist will provide safe, accurate radiation treatments in compliance with National Cancer Institute regulations and facility standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver radiation therapy treatments according to physician prescriptions
• Operate all radiotherapy equipment including:
  • Co‑60
  • Linear Accelerator
  • Simulator
• Perform localization, simulation, and pretreatment procedures
• Take port films and radiographic images for verification
• Ensure patient safety, recognize radiation reactions, and provide instructions
• Maintain and record treatment documentation and film records
• Coordinate patient scheduling and workflow
• Maintain compliance with departmental and regulatory policies
• Participate in department education and training programs

Qualifications

• AAS or AMA‑accredited Radiation Therapy program
• Registered Radiation Therapist (RRT)
• New York State license
• 3–5 years of related experience
• Successful completion of pre‑employment health screening
• Strong knowledge of modern, high‑voltage radiation therapy equipment
