Respiratory Therapist – Day Shift (14‑Week Contract)
Start Date: March 2, 2026
Schedule: Day Shift | 12‑hour shifts | 36 hrs/week
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a 14‑week day‑shift contract beginning March 2, 2026. The ideal candidate is confident in acute‑care respiratory therapy and able to work with minimal orientation.
Responsibilities
Administer positive pressure and aerosol therapy
Initiate and monitor oxygen therapy
Assist physicians with continuous ventilation management
Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation
Conduct pulmonary function tests
Perform radial arterial punctures
Provide comprehensive RT care within an acute care environment
Communicate clearly and maintain excellent patient relations
Follow all departmental, clinical, and safety protocols
Qualifications
A.A.S. in Respiratory Therapy
NYS Respiratory Therapist license/registration
Minimum 2 years of acute care clinical experience post‑A.A.S.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Must pass pre‑employment health clearance
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Contract Details
