Description

RN – Med-Surg Neuro | D/N Rotation

Start Dates: 4/13 or 4/27
Shift: 7:00p–7:00a or 7:00a–7:00p (Rotating Days/Nights)
Guaranteed: 36 hrs/week

Unit Details

21-bed Med-Surg Neuro unit
Primary Stroke Center
Level IV Epilepsy Center (only epilepsy center in Vermont & New Hampshire)

Patient Population

Medical:

Neuromuscular disorders
Meningitis
Stroke
TBI
Spinal cord injuries

Surgical:

Brain & spine tumor resections
Spinal surgery
Head & neck cancer
Epilepsy monitoring (implanted electrodes & scalp leads)

Required Skills

Chest tubes
Drips: Diltiazem, Heparin, Lasix, Insulin, Amiodarone
Post-surgical lines/tubes/drains
Trachs & laryngectomies
Telemetry
Complex wound care
Central line care & blood draws
