RN – Critical Access ER/MS | Variable 12s

Shift: 8:00a–8:00p or 8:00p–8:00a (Variable Days/Nights)

Facility & Unit Details

• 8-bed Critical Access Unit
  • 3 ER beds
  • 5 Med-Surg beds (same unit, includes swing bed)
• RN ratio: 1:3
• CNA also serves as HUC
• No telemetry
• EMR: Meditech

Patient Population

• PNA/COPD
• General weakness
• Electrolyte imbalance
• Cardiac rule-outs
• UTI
• Diabetes

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• Critical Access experience preferred
• ER background strongly preferred
• First-time travelers accepted

Required Skills

• IV therapy
• Chest tube setup
• ER triage
• Wound care
• Splints/casting assistance
• Full physical assessments
• Medication administration
• Comfortable completing ER registration in Meditech (overnights)

Certifications

• BLS (required)
• ACLS (required)
• CPI/MOAB (preferred)
• TNCC (preferred)
• NRP (preferred)
• PALS (preferred)

Scheduling & Orientation

• Every other weekend
• Every other holiday
• No call
• 2-day NEO + departmental orientation
• Free parking
• Scrubs: Any color
