RN – ICU | Nights

Shift: 12-Hour Nights (6:45p–7:15a)
Schedule: Every other weekend (Sat/Sun) | Holidays rotate with perm staff
Guaranteed: 36 hrs/week | 13-week contract
EMR: EPIC

Unit Details

• 4-bed ICU
• Ratio: 1:4 (typically 1 RN + 1 PCT at all times)
• Charge RN is in MedSurg staffing and carries a patient assignment
• No required floating outside ICU (optional to MedSurg if comfortable)
• 1–2 shifts unit-specific orientation

Required Certifications

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)
• NIHSS

Patient Population

• Post-op (ortho, urology)
• COPD, CHF
• Older adult population
• Typical MedSurg ICU acuity
• Vent management (6 vents in-house; intubations & vasopressors)
• All standard ICU drips

Support Services

• Hospitalist & Intensivist in-house 7 days/week
• NP in-house 1900–0700
• RT 24/7
• Pharmacy support 24/7 (daytime in-house pharmacist)
• No IV team

Equipment

• Phillips hard-wired cardiac monitors + central monitor station
• Pyxis medication dispensing

Submission Requirements

• Active RN license (can submit pending)
• Copy of unexpired Driver’s License required
• Any licensing hits must be disclosed at submission
• 50-mile radius rule applies
