Inpatient Psych Forensics Hospital Setting

Licensed Practical Nurse LPN Job Details:

• 6 month assignment, renewals available
• ASAP Start Dates (Flexible quick start dates!)
• Inpatient Hospital setting, Psych
• 2pm-10pm Shift, 40 hours per week, Rotate every other weekend
• Local Pay: $36.22/HR
• Paid weekly
• 2 week fully paid orientation

Licensed Practical Nurse LPN Responsibilities:

• Provide care for patients – manage medication administration and treatments; provide medication education and complete documentation.
• Perform computer data entry – Receive full training
• Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies; specifically, Joint Commission guidelines, CMS Standards, BSH Policy and Directives and HHSC Standards, Rules and Directives
• Performs highly complex vocational nursing work. Provides for the care, treatment, and general welfare of individuals residing at the State Hospital (SH) who have complex mental health, behavioral, and medical diagnosis. Performs basic and complex routine and non-routine nursing tasks to promote the health of the individuals within the assigned areas and assigned shift. Collects specimens for lab work and performs health screenings. Instructs psychiatric nursing assistants and other staff on how to provide service and care that support the individual’s needs.
