Maternity Nurse Educator (L&D / NICU / CCN)
Shift: Days | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Hours: 36 hrs/week (5×8s one week, 4×8s the next)
Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Maternity Nurse Educator with strong L&D, NICU, and Continuing Care Nursery (CCN) experience. This role functions as a clinical educator, mentor, and change agent—driving evidence-based practice, staff development, and quality improvement within maternal-child services.
Requirements (MANDATORY)
- Active Massachusetts RN License
- MSN – Required
- BLS (AHA), ACLS & NRP – Required
- L&D and CCN experience – Required
- Solid NICU experience
Strongly Preferred
- ANCC Certification in Nursing Professional Development
- NRP Fetal Monitoring Instructor
Clinical Expertise Required
- Fetal monitoring
- Cardiac arrhythmia identification
- IV medication titration
- Epidural pain management
- Management of high-acuity labor patients
- Operating room experience (circulator & scrub roles)
Key Responsibilities
- Assess educational needs and develop evidence-based learning programs
- Facilitate staff education using adult learning theory
- Lead practice improvement and change initiatives
- Evaluate learning outcomes and competency development
- Mentor nursing staff and support professional growth
- Promote scientific inquiry and evidence integration into practice
