Registered Nurse (RN) – Med-Surg / Acute Care / OBS Unit – Day Shift

Location: Glenwood Springs, CO 81601
Unit: Med-Surg Acute Care / OBS
Shift: 12-hour day shifts, including weekends

Key Responsibilities

Provide patient-centered care to adults in a Med-Surg/Acute Care/OBS setting.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and promote positive patient outcomes.
Utilize specialized knowledge for the management of complex disease states, including post-surgical and acute/chronic conditions.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Meditech electronic health records.
Participate in the unit call rotation as required.

Shift Requirements

12-hour day shifts, including weekend rotation.
Must agree to participate in the call rotation, taking 1 call shift per 2-week period (following VV’s pay schedule) in place of guaranteed hours, if requested due to staffing needs.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in Acute Care, Med-Surg, Telemetry, or a similar setting required.

Qualifications

Current RN license to practice in Colorado.
Current BLS certification (AHA).
Current ACLS certification (AHA).
Flu vaccination required (no exemptions).
Proficiency with Meditech or similar electronic health record systems.
