Description

Position Summary:
The RN provides independent, professional nursing care to patients of all ages in accordance with provider orders, standards of care, and hospital policies. Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation while maintaining accountability for clinical decisions and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver safe, effective, patient-centered care
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and reassessments
Respond calmly and effectively in emergent situations
Administer age-specific medications and treatments
Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Delegate and supervise CNAs/Techs as appropriate
Provide patient and family education and discharge planning

Requirements:

Active Alaska RN License (required at submission)
BLS & PALS required upon hire
ACLS required within 6 months
Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred
Prior specialty experience preferred
