Description
Description
We are seeking an experienced Apheresis Registered Nurse (RN) for an ASAP start at a Blood Center. This role involves performing Therapeutic Apheresis procedures for patients in acute care facilities, outpatient clinics, and hospital settings. Procedures include Red Cell Exchange, Plasma Exchange, and White Cell Depletion using the Spectra Optia Device. The RN will work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with an extensive on‑call rotation beginning at 4:30 PM on weekdays and running 24 hours on weekends. On‑call coverage spans a full week (Friday evening to the following Friday morning) and involves carrying the department on‑call iPhone. EMR used: Epic.
Travelers are expected to float as needed and integrate fully into unit culture, functioning as core staff. HWL interview required; manager delivers the final offer.
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of Apheresis RN experience
- Spectra Optia Device experience required
- Proficiency in therapeutic apheresis procedures (RBC Exchange, Plasma Exchange, WBC Depletion)
- BLS certification required
- Experience in acute care hospital settings preferred
- Ability to work Monday–Friday plus required on‑call schedule
- EMR experience with Epic
- Must float to sister campuses as needed (travelers float first)
- Must meet 50‑mile radius rule from permanent address
- All RTO and schedule requests must be submitted upfront—no exceptions
