** Airway Management Devises/Suctioning Skills Required: Endotracheal tube/suctioning, Extubation, Intubation Assist, Nasal airway suctioning, Oropharyngeal/suctioning, Pulmonary Hygiene, Sputum specimen collection & Tracheostomy/suctioning
**Skills of Care of Patient with Aspiration, COVID, Cystic fibrosis, Fresh tracheostomy & Pneumonia
**Medication Administration Skills Required: Albuterol, Atrovent, Flovent, Nitric Oxide (INo), Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Terbutaline Sulfate, Tobramycin & Xopenex
**Medication Delivery Systems Skills Required: Aerosol set up mask, Aerosol set up trach, Medihaler & Metered dose inhaler
**Nebulizer Skills Required: Hand Held, T-Piece & Trach Collar
**Oxygen Therapy Skills Required: Bag & Mask, ET Tube, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Portable Oxygen tank, T-piece & Trach Collar
**Ventilator Management Skills Required: BiPAP, CPAP, High frequency oscillator, IMV (intermittent Mandatory Ventilation), SIMV (Synchronized Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation), Troubleshooting high pressure alarms & Weaning from mechanical ventilation
**Neonatal/Pediatrics - Equipment/Procedure Skills Required: Bubble CPAP, Capillary blood gases, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BIPAP, IMV/SIMV, Intubation Assist, Oscillating Ventilator, Pressure/Volume Ventilator & Umbilical blood gases
**Professional Knowledge & Skills Required: ABG Interpretation, Chest Physiotherapy: Vest & Chest Physiotherapy
***Certs: BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT, NC State License***
PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:
*Airway Management Devices/Suctioning Skills: Direct Intubation, Nasal airway placement & Oral airway placement
*Care of Patient with Bronchoscopy
*Ventilation Management: Patient Transport (inter-departmental and ambulance transport)
*Neonatal/Pediatrics - Equipment/procedures: Assist in high risk delivery, Direct Intubation (Neonatal), Direct Intubation (Peds) & Neonatal transports (inter-departmental)
*Care of the Infant/Child With: Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, Near drowning, Respiratory distress syndrome, Respiratory syncytial virus & Transient Tachypnea of the newborn
*Professional Knowledge & Skills: Basic EKG & Drawing arterial blood gases
JOB DETAILS:
RATIOS: 70+ bed NICU, 10 bed PICU, 32 bed Peds Floor, 14 bed Peds ED
SHIFT: *36 Hours Can Be Offered
Will Accept 13 Weeks.
3x12s or 4x12s accepted!
12 HOUR NIGHTS; 18:45 - 07:15
Call Requirement: Call may be required / workload dependent
Float Requirement: Yes, throughout the PEDS units and floors
Weekend Requirement: EVERY THIRD WEEKEND

PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Pediatric and Neonates
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Ability to work in PICU (REQUIRED), PEDS ER, PEDS Floor, PEDS MS Registered Respiratory Therapist
***50% - 60% of NICU & PICU cases daily. NICU & PICU Experience is REQUIRED for this role as RRT***
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: Must be competent using Servo-I, Servo-N, HOFV-3100 A & B, Alaris IV pumps for continuous Albuterol treatments, Airvo heated HFNC, BCPAP with multiple interfaces, Aerogen versus Hope neb versus EZflow Max neb, Hamilton T1. Synclara, Volera, Beyond Air nitric system, Fisher Paykel Flexitrunk BCPAP interface, Metaneb, Smart Vest, Heliox use, AMBU bronchs
UNIT SYSTEMS: Pyxis, EPIC EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
UNIT ORIENTATION: 36 Hours of Unit Orientation
