Registered Nurse – L&D / LDRP (Women’s Services)

Shift: Nights – 3x12s (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Unit: Women’s Services – LDRP (Floor 2)
Charting System: Epic
Radius Rule: Must live >50 miles from facility
 

🚨 Submission Requirement (Mandatory)

Must include written confirmation from clinician stating:

• Housing has been researched
• Pay package is approved
• Fully committed to the assignment
• Will sign the offer within 24 hours

🏥 Unit Overview

• 6 LDRP beds (secure unit)
• 1 dedicated C-section OR suite
• Postpartum care occurs in same 6 LDRP beds
• ~160 births/year (12–17 per month)
• 2 RNs staffed per shift
• Follows AWHONN staffing guidelines
• EFM System: Centricity

👶 Patient Population & Scope

• Laboring and postpartum patients (LDRP model)
• Care for well mom & well baby
• High-risk & critical OB patients
• Inductions
• Hypertensive crisis
• Hemorrhage protocol management
• No twins/triplets (stabilize & transfer if needed)
• RN serves as newborn nurse during C-sections (does not circulate)
• Manages couplet care for first few hours post-delivery

✅ Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years LDRP experience
• Strong recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• Some LDRP or postpartum experience within the past few years
• Newborn stabilization required
• Must be comfortable managing labor patients autonomously and independently (especially nights/weekends)
• Must be comfortable working with OB providers who are on-call (not in-house)

💉 Certifications Required

• BLS
• ACLS
• NRP
• STABLE
• AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced (required or must obtain)

👕 Dress Code

• Surgical scrubs (facility scrubs required for deliveries)
