Description

Position Overview

Scrubbing experience is highly encouraged. The nurse may be required to work varied or irregular hours when on call and must be prepared to assist with emergency cases on very short notice.

License Requirements

Must hold a valid, current, full, and unrestricted Professional Nursing License to practice in any U.S. state, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory.

Required Certifications

The following certifications must be maintained throughout employment:

Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association — must be obtained within six (6) months of hire
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification through the National Institutes of Health — must be completed within six (6) months of hire
Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) through the Competency and Credentialing Institute — must be completed within one (1) year of hire
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) — must be completed within two (2) years of hire

Education

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.

Experience

Minimum of two (2) years of clinical nursing and/or operating room experience required.
