Description

NICU Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Schedule: 36 hrs/week
Shift: Rotating or Nights
Weekends: Every third weekend rotation
Setting: Birthing Hospital – Level II & III NICU / Special Care Nursery

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced NICU RRT to provide respiratory care in a Level II/III NICU setting. Candidate must have strong neonatal experience and be comfortable working independently in high-acuity environments.

Requirements (MANDATORY)

RRT Credential – Required
NRP – Required
BLS/CPR (AHA) – Required
2+ years of respiratory therapy experience
NICU experience required (some pediatric experience acceptable in addition)

Preferred

Delivery room experience
Experience in birthing hospital NICU settings

Key Responsibilities

Perform and interpret respiratory tests and procedures
Manage artificial airways and mechanical ventilation
Administer aerosolized medications and oxygen therapy
Implement respiratory care protocols autonomously
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams

Education

High School Diploma or GED required
