Description
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - NMTCB required...ARRT is also accepted. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.. • Practices radiation protection techniques (ALARA) to minimize radiation exposure. • Perform area survey on assigned working areas. • All necessary documentation is clear and comprehensive. • Processes and routes patient charts. Responds to code blue situations. • Provide instruction and technical guidance while training new employees. • Contributes to a “team” atmosphere by demonstrating excellent communication skills and positive interactions. • Makes recommendations to the Lead Nuclear Technologist / Department Manager for capital and operating budget needs. • Orders, receives, and returns radioactive materials from radio pharmacy. Orders and stocks supplies, cleans rooms and equipment to maintain work environment. • Performs IV puncture, utilizing proper injection techniques while injecting radiopharmaceuticals. Prepare and administer I-131 thyroid therapies.
