Description
Registered Dietitian – Clinical Nutrition Services
Location: Hattiesburg
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM; some weekends required
On-Call: Every 5–6 weeks
Hours: 40 hours/week (5x8-hour shifts)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct nutrition assessments and develop appropriate care plans
- Plan, direct, and implement nutrition interventions
- Provide patient counseling and education on nutrition-related issues
- Collaborate with healthcare team members on treatment and discharge planning
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and quality of nutrition care; revise plans as needed
- Visit patients as directed to improve patient satisfaction outcomes
- Complete consults and assignments within required timeframes
- Maintain accurate documentation and successfully pass monthly chart audits
- Serve as a preceptor for dietetic interns as needed
- Assist in other areas as requested by Food & Nutrition management

Education Requirements
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or Food Service Management from an accredited institution meeting educational requirements of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
- Must be eligible to complete the Dietitian/National Registration Examination
- Preferred: Master’s degree
