Location: Everett, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: 4x10 hour night shifts
- Weekend Requirement: Yes
- Call Requirement: No
- Floating: Yes, may float to a nearby campus (less than 2 miles away)
- Guaranteed Hours: 70 hours per 2 weeks (may be called off for 1 shift per 2-week period)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Facility Type: Level II Trauma Center (includes Outpatient, Interventional Radiology, Emergency Room, Inpatient)
- Total Staffed Beds: 571 (across campuses)
- Charting System: EPIC
- Scrub Color: Any except reddish orange
- Local Candidates: Not accepted
Requirements/Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, with experience within the last year
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification
- Experience working with Adult patients
- Experience working with Neonate patients
- Experience working with Pediatric patients
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
Certifications Required
- Mandatory:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
- Preferred:
- ARDMS AB (Abdominal)
- ARDMS OB/GYN (Obstetrics/Gynecology)
- ARRT S (Radiologic Technologist - Sonography)
Prior Travel Experience
- Not required (accepts first-time travelers)
Required Licenses
- Must hold a valid license appropriate for Ultrasound Tech in Washington state
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Background Check: Must be completed within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years; updated annually
- Drug Testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (instant tests not accepted)
- Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Immunizations and Health Screenings:
- TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) within 10 years or declination accepted
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Respiratory Safety Clearance: Required for travel candidates, medically cleared annually for respirator use
- Fit Mask Testing: Required for travel candidates, updated annually (some exceptions apply)
Training and Competency Requirements
- Skills Checklist: Must be updated annually for applicable units
- Competency Exams: Medication test/pharmacology competency as applicable
- WorkRamp Modules:
- Annual regulatory and specialty-specific modules required
- Modules assigned based on specialty and region
- Epic Training: Completion of EPIC modules required prior to working (specific to Providence system)
Additional Notes
- Floating Policy: Acknowledgement required; may float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance
- References: Minimum of 2 supervisor references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment with month/year format for dates
- Photo for Badge: Passport-style photo with neutral background required

This position is ideal for Ultrasound Technologists with at least 1 year of experience in adult, ER, NICU, pediatric, and portable ultrasound settings who are open to night shifts and weekend work in a Level II Trauma Center environment. First-time travel healthcare workers are welcome to apply.
