Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) - Nights

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for night shifts with an option of 36 or 48 hours per week. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.

Schedule

• Weekend requirement: 4-6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks.

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• AWHONN Intermediate
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – pending certifications accepted

Required Licensure

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for New Mexico with primary source verification (NURSYS verification required).

Additional Requirements

• Background checks including 7-year history, education verification, fingerprinting (completed onsite during orientation), and various federal checks (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG).
• Physical exam within 12 months of start.
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually.
• Immunizations and health documentation including:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella (positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented history)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
  • COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start.
• Unit-specific skills checklist required annually.
• Complete application/resume and 7-year work history verification.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
• Minimum of 3 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• AWHONN Intermediate certification
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NRP certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Orientation and Onboarding

• Fingerprinting must be completed onsite during orientation; clearance required before working on unit.
• Scrubs provided.

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers are welcome.
• Compliance with all facility-specific health and safety protocols is mandatory.
