Radiology / Cardiology – Ultrasound Tech (Vascular)

📍 Location: New Bern, NC – CarolinaEast Medical Center
🕒 Shift: Evening, 14:30 – 23:00 | Rotating call every 4 weeks | Weekend shifts once every 4 weeks
💼 Job Type: Contract | 13-week assignment

About the Role:
CarolinaEast Medical Center is seeking an experienced Vascular Ultrasound Technologist to join our Radiology/Cardiology team. You will perform high-quality vascular imaging and diagnostic procedures, supporting adult, ER, ICU, and portable patient populations. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with state-of-the-art equipment, including Philips Epiq Elite x4 and Viasonix Falcon Pro x2.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform vascular imaging: Aorta, arterial grafts, carotid, duplex, color flow, Doppler, upper/lower extremities, renal artery studies
Provide accurate documentation in Cerner
Assist in OR procedures such as Carotid Endarterectomies
Maintain patient care, isolation precautions, and safety standards
Participate in on-call rotations and weekend coverage

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years vascular ultrasound experience; 10+ years preferred
ARDMS, BLS, RVT required; CCI RVS* preferred
Experience with EPIC HR preferred
Flexibility to work in a fluid hospital environment
Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
