Experience Requirements

Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years PACU experience required

Key Responsibilities (Standard PACU Scope – implied by specialty)

Monitor patients in the immediate post-anesthesia phase
Perform post-operative assessments including airway, vitals, pain, and consciousness level
Manage recovery from general, regional, and local anesthesia
Identify and respond to post-operative complications
Administer medications per PACU protocols
Communicate patient status effectively with anesthesia, surgeons, and nursing staff
Ensure safe transition of care to inpatient units or discharge

Licensure & Certifications

Active RN License (State of Tennessee or Compact)
BLS (ACLS often required for PACU – verify prior to submission)
