Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Location: Olathe, KS 66061

Schedule: 12-hour Day Shifts (0700–1930), 3 shifts per week
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
On-Call: None

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in PCU and ICU settings
• Manage patients requiring advanced critical care interventions
• Perform CRRT management and BiPAP care
• Draw labs independently
• Manage chest tubes and PICC lines
• Conduct and lead codes independently
• Initiate consults without vascular access team support
• Float to ICU and all inpatient units including Med/Surg, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, and ED (with prior experience)

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent Critical Care/ICU experience
• Experience with:
  • CRRT
  • BiPAP
  • Chest Tubes
  • PICC Lines
  • Independent lab draws
  • Code management
• Must be comfortable working autonomously

Licensure & Certifications

• Active Kansas RN License or Compact RN License
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
• NIH Stroke Certification
